THE SANCTUARY
ACOUSTIC PROLOGUE INFORMATION
The Prologue is from 7:00 - 8:00 PM, though it may last longer depending on many circumstances, and, conversly, it may be shorter. From time to time, we will continue these acts after the billed acts are finished, usually near 11:30 PM. This is an "Open Mic" period in a sense, except that you must be signed up for the slot in advance. Generally, you will have room for 3 songs. We may have you do more if time allows.
Here are some things to know:
- Many people want to do this. We will select who we can. You must take the time we give you.
- It will be obvious who took the time to invite friends and fans. That goes a long way towards being invited back or getting a billed slot.
- You cannot have a 'set-up' beyond plugging in a guitar or using a mic on a stringed instrument.
- You are not compensated in any form.
- You are not guaranteed to go on stage--we follow the cues of the audiance, so if you are last on the list, you may get bumped. The early bird gets the worm and all that...
- If you are late, we will not wait for you. This is a great opportunity for an introduction to a growing audiance--we cannot delay the billed acts for Prologue acts.
- You will not be billed on promotional material. Please don't ask.
- If we are interested in having you in a billed slot later, we will certainly talk to you about it.
