Stargazer Luna

Kimber Kinley and Frank Lucky as Stargazer Luna

Less is More says Bon Voyage to Frank Lucky and Kimber Kinley

The first Less is More show came together on April 10, 2009 when the members of quebb (John Caelan, Mikel Farber, and Jourdan Stephens) combined forces with the members of End of June (Frank Lucky, Kimber Kinley, and Eric) and a few friends to transform the Church in Ocean Park, vacant for the great deal of its hours, into The Sanctuary. Frank and Kim contributed so much, it's hard to describe. They performed as EOJ, Stargazer Luna, and Frank shared a number of solo moments as well. The Acoustic Stage, curtains, bar, and other accessories were all built by Frank. The overall ambiance and sense of theme

was crafted by their input. They are off to Humboldt for a spell, and then on to further adventures. We will endeavor to keep their spirit entrenched in all we do here. They are our close friends, we will miss them dearly and hope for the best in all of their journeys. We'll see them again soon, we are certain.

Parking at The Sanctuary

There is none. If you find free street parking within a block on a Friday night, you should immedietely buy a lottery ticket. Walk or ride your bike if you can. Parking is available on and around Main Street at pay meters and in pay lot parking on the beach, two blocks from the Sanctuary. There is some parking in surrounding residential areas, but be cautious of permit and time restrictions.

It is a pleasant walk everywhere in the Venice/Santa Monica Ocean Park area, so plan on finding free street parking and then walking a few blocks to the Sanctuary. The pay lots can be expensive on Friday nights. It's much easier to find free parking before 8 PM in the area.
